Zapatero J-45 style guitar by Hamm-tone
This guitar boasts forward shifted Martin dreadnought style scalloped bracing on an Englemann spruce top. The neck is Honduras Mahogany with a fingerboard that has a scale length of 25.4 inches in order to promote treble clarity and bass growl. The look of this guitar is, however, all Gibson. It's got the appearance that most J-45 fans are familiar with and yearning for, but a more focused tonal ability like a Martin. Ebony fingerboard, bridge and binding are standard appointments on this gem of a guitar. Back and sides are re-claimed Zapatero from Central America. This wood had been water-logged for approximately one hundred years until it was brought back out into open air about ten years ago. Zapatero is a fine and happy balance between Indian Rosewood and Honduras Mahogany.
